Join us every Monday for Pia Power Hours, a hands-on opportunity to get outside and support conservation efforts! Learn and work alongside Chris Wong, our Conservation Manager, and take part in a variety of important restoration activities, such as:
Weeding out invasive species such as guinea grass to reduce the threat of wildfire and make space for native plants.
Planting native species to promote a healthier, more resilient forest.
Collecting and processing native seeds for future planting.
Maintaining Pia Valley's restoration fence.
These activities play a key role in our broader mission to preserve and restore native ecosystems, including our ongoing efforts in Pia Valley. Whether you’re a newcomer to conservation or a regular volunteer, Pia Power Hours is a fun and rewarding way to engage in meaningful environmental work while learning more about Hawaiʻi’s natural resources.
