Join us in Pia Valley for a special guest talk by Susan Ching, followed by weeding and native outplanting. Susan Ching is the Oʻahu PEPP Coordinator and DOFAW Oʻahu Botanist working to conserve the most threatened and endangered native Hawaiian plants.

About the event
Susan Ching was born and raised on the island of O’ahu and earned a B.S. and M.S. in Botanical Sciences with an emphasis on Ecology, Evolution, and Conservation Biology from the University of Hawai’i at Mānoa. She was originally part of the PEPP team in 2003-2004 and then came back to join PEPP in 2009. As a lifelong student of the natural history of the Hawaiian Islands, she is thrilled to work with such an amazing team of PEPP-ers.
We will meet at the Niu Valley Shopping Center main parking lot near 7-Eleven
