About the event
Meeting time: 8:00AM Magoon Research Station (2727 Woodlawn Dr. Across from Longs Mānoa)
Restrooms: Bathroom on site.
Difficulty: All ages welcome
What to expect:
Expect: Processing a'ali'i & māmane fruit to clean seed without damage. We will demonstrate all processes on-site.
The a'ali'i is pretty straightforward and relatively easy to clean - we will use hand and mechanical (Clipper) processing techniques to remove seed from fruit, and winnowing to remove chaff.
