Mānoa Cliff Restoration Project has been restoring the native forest for over 20 years. There are over 110 native species observed around the area. Join us for weeding and light maintenance work in Hawaiʻiʻs native lowland mesic forest.

About the event

Meeting Location: Meet at Kālawahine Trail Head at 8:30 AM HST. Parking available on the right hand side of the Tantalus. We will carpool from there up to the Puʻu ʻŌhia trail.


Site Location: (21°20'16.803''N 157°48'40.073''W)


Difficulty: Beginner


Note: Due to the type of restoration work we will work on, and for the security of intact native species in the restoration area, we limit our volunteers to age 10 and above.


Restrooms: None. If you need to go in the forest, be prepared to pack out your rubbish.
