Wai‘anae Mountains Watershed Partnership aims to bring people together to responsibly manage watershed areas, native species and their habitats, and more within the ahupua‘a. This is a rare opportunity to get deep into the valley and see the site they're restoring from the ground up.

About the event
About the site: Makaha Valley WMWP Fence Management Unit is a special restoration site at the back of Makaha Valley. It is a project with the Honolulu Board of Water Supply to restore priority watershed areas important for water recharge on the west side of the island. The area has soft, nutrient-dense soil along a steep slope where there are patches of native dry-mesic forest that are still surviving.
!!! Meeting time and location: Due to extremely limited parking at the site, carpooling for this event is required! BEFORE 7:30 AM, meet at 711 Kamokila Blvd, Kapolei, HI 96707. Park on street outside Kalapawai. (DO NOT PARK IN LOT, YOU WILL GET TOWED)
