Event Details
When: Saturday, September 2nd 2023 Time: 8 - 11:30am
Where: Kuli`ou`ou Ridge Trail, end of Kala`au Street, Kuli`ou`ou Valley
Activity Scope
● Workday may involve (but not limited to) any of the following:
○ Hiking up to 1 mi, carrying 8lb water jugs, removing invasive species, planting native species,
using hand tools, watering native trees and shrubs
Preparation for Workday
● Please fill out the following waivers before arrival
● Please wear long pants, closed toe shoes, long sleeve shirt, and a hat for safety & sun
protection
● Bring plenty of water (don’t wait until you are thirsty to hydrate, hydrate the night before)
● Bring sunglasses or other protective eyewear
● Bring sunscreen and bug spray
● Please consider using the restroom before arriving. The closest restroom is at the Kuli‘ou‘ou
neighborhood park down the road from the trail.
● Snacks and refreshments will be provided.
Parking
● Meet us at the Kuli ‘ou ‘ou Ridge Trail at the end of Kala‘au Pl. An ATA volunteer will be
waiting for you at the yellow gate. You may park inside of the gate (first come first served) we
can accommodate about 15-20 cars so we recommend carpooling.
Bathrooms
- Nearest Bathrooms are located at Kuli'ou'ou Neighborhood Park
